If you notice changes in previous spots more than likely you are seeing a continuing of that damage. However, if you are just seeing water coming in that’s obviously something that is new. Either way you need to get someone in there to check those out and make sure to get that resolved before you are out more money. In this case sooner is better than later.

• This one I feel is more obvious than the first two, and to be honest this is how I realized I was having a water leak. Having a spike in your water bill. Now, it’s story time really quick. That’s because the spot has been there long enough to absorb so much water that it has started to break down the area that it is in. As for a new water damage spot, it will not have the same spongy and squishy feeling to it. However, it will be wet.
